The Pro-NJ Grantor Trust is an independent entity created to provide small, women-owned or minority-owned businesses with the opportunity to expand their operations as part of a sustainable supply chain for the offshore wind industry, as well as to provide funds for infrastructure projects for municipalities and counties.
The grants awarded will help New Jersey businesses with a focus on Ocean, Atlantic and Cape May counties meet the demands of this fast-growing sector. The Pro-NJ Grantor Trust does not serve as a forum to discuss energy efficiency or contracts awards by the NJ Board of Public Utilities and has no influence over offshore wind projects of any kind.
The Trust was initially established by Ørsted in 2019, with a commitment to fund $15 million over approximately eight years.
