Trust Recipient Spotlight: FCC Consulting Services

FCC Consulting Services was founded in 2007 and in 2018 developed a turnkey solution that fundamentally changes the way in which Construction Managers and General Contractors monitor their projects. FCC Consulting Services provides customers instant access to a job site with unsurpassed image monitoring and assistance from their client experience team. FCC Consulting Services’ client list includes fortune 500 companies, startups and community organizations. Certified as a minority business enterprise (MBE) and disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) in 20 states, the company is also certified by the Port Authority of NY & NJ and the National Minority Supplier Diversity Council, and earned its U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) 8(a) certification.

“We’re a one-stop-shop for our clients temporary field office needs,” said Chris Carothers, president and CEO. “Our technology allows our clients to stay connected to their job site with high-resolution technology providing viewers with wide angle views of the project. Our cameras range from 6 to 24 megapixels (MP) giving our clients the power to review every detail of the project.”

FCC Consulting Services was made aware of the opportunity for grant funding from Ocean Wind Pro-NJ Grantor Trust through the African American Chamber of Commerce of NJ in 2021. After applying and receiving funds from the Trust, FCC Consulting Services has been able to expand their work with AECOM Tishman through remote construction site camera monitoring and temporary field office mobilization by installing technology in trailers including a/v, internet connectivity and executive conference rooms.

“This funding is helping bolster our capability and we will continue to leverage that to gain more business in this unique offshore wind industry,” said Carothers.

In addition to the purchase and implementation of the technology infrastructure for AECOMM/Tishman, FCC Consulting Services is also in consultation with several prime contractors to setup their temporary field office and install cameras to monitor the construction progress for their portion of the project. The goal is to provide surveillance and security and transmit live images to assist those in the offshore wind industry.

“We’re thankful to have been given the opportunity to help build our corporate relationships in the tremendous offshore wind industry throughout New Jersey and along the East Coast.”
